MySQL Workbench - Guidance on how to synchronize 2 databases

Hello everybody,

I'm having difficulty to synchronize two databases, one local model and a remote DB using Mysql Workbench.

I create the model and connect to the source and when I get to the screen that should show both dbs so I can choose what to synch, it shows my source as N/A with a messge at the end saying that my model is not yet on the RDBMS Server and I need to Forwar Engineer to create it.

My scenario is:

I have a remote database that I need to use as a source to update/synchronize other databases.

Can anybody help?

Thanks!

Maybe someone knows a different way for doing this.

Im open to suggestions, considering that all I need to do is update mysql databases based on a remote db or a local model, preserving the existing data.

Thanks

I came across a simple solution and dismissed Mysql Workbench
