I had a windows recovery virus and now everything in the c drive is hidden
I just removed the windows recovery virus and now all of the files in the c drive except for the removal tools I just installed are hidden. Is there a way to remove the hidden attribute without having to do it manually for each?

Also please note -
The instructions given at http://www.techvts.com/windows-recovery-virus-removal are NOT adequate to address this problem.
All they say are to run either SuperAntiSpyware or Malwarebytes.
That is NOT enough to fully repair this problem.
You need to run one of the automated programs that will "unhide" your files and folders and you need a rogue process stopper to allow the scans to work properly.

Apparently it is not completely gone as of yet. I ran malwarebytes and avast, turned off system restore. Had a funny feeling it wasn't going to be that easy. I've seen this one before and had to end up reformatting. Which of your links do you recommend for this particularly evil virus?
Actually, the link posted by SSharma is exactly right.
It has all of the details that you need - and will only take about 10-15 minutes (plus the MBAM scan - which will be another 30-45 minutes).
