Mitel Phone System & DHCP

Hi,

We currently have a mitel 3300 ip pbx system with a number of handsets. Currently DHCP has been configured on the phone system, which is a pain for troubleshooting dhcp issues.

We are about to implement a new sbs 2011 server and would like to migrate dhcp across to it. I understand from when i looked before that the mitel phones require certain settings in DHCP to operate.

1) What are they and how do i need to configure DHCP
2) How do i disable DHCP on the mitel controller?

Thanks for the link, i found a couple online that had literally about 40 different options, have you used tested the ones in the link? and does it work?

Not on the handset, the mitel controller is acting as a DHCP server currently. Need to turn that off.
no haven't tested it myself.

not sure how to disable the dhcp server tbh
The link that was listed has been tested and works for sure.

Thanks Keith will give it a try tomorrow.

Do you have any idea how to disable DHCP on the controller itself?

Thanks Keith... Appreciate the assistance!

I even found under the DHCP settings on the controller all the DHCP options and settings that are configured. So hopefully i can just add these to my windows DHCP server and disable DHCP on the controller.
