Active Directory Password change

Morning,

I have a client who have Windows 2008 active directory running across two sites linked via a 10Mbit pipe.

The Domain Controllers within seperate sites in AD.

They store all their data on DFS shared (home directories, profiles, shared data) and this replicates site to site.

All users access DFS using the namespace \\Domain Name\DFS Namespace.

My issue is when a user changes their password because it has expired, their profile does not load from the DFS name space, looks like it loads the default profile and not the user profile.

Waiting 10 minutes resolvs this?

Thanks for comments so far,

DNS is perfect
global catalog is on DC at both sites

I think the issue is due to the time to replicate the update to the PDC, is there a way of speeding this up?

I think I'm going to force the DFS clients to always attatch to the local site but this still won't work when the site site who do not have a PDC change a password. As ipajones said it sounds like replication latency.

Massive Microsoft flaw or configuration  issue?

Why would chkdsk help?

Any help speeding this up or configuration settings would be much appreciated, I can't pull all the profile from site A to Site B, I can't set the cost higher on the replication links as there is only one route site to site and as you know you only get one PDC emulator pet domain.

Help!
