configuring cakephp

Hi
i have already php and apache and mysql installed on my pc i m using xp
it is working fine.
now i downloaded cakephp and i extract to my webroot but when
http://localhost/cake i get index of instead of the normale page of cakephp
i did some config in my cakephp and in apache but still not the right one.

Look into httpd.conf file. Make sure you can see something like:

PHPIniDir "C:/Program Files/PHP/"
LoadModule php5_module "C:/Program Files/PHP/php5apache2_2.dll"

DirectoryIndex index.php (can be something more in thins line)

Have you set DocumentRoot to your webroot folder? Or have you created a virtual host? Could you show its definition please?

my webserver apache works perfect with php mysql no problem my problem is that when i installed cakephp on my webserver i cannot see well the cakepage

Are you sure the index you see is of the folder webroot?

Could you show your apaches settings please?

thank you for your answer
but it is not webroot i have changed it is only the directoryindex from html to php
and still have a bit of problem but i will try to resolve it or i send it to the EE
