Our policy is that users have only Power Users rights on workstations.
Unfortunately there are some applications that require users to be local administrators.
When I set the executable to be run as administrator, logged in as administrator, the applications still asks for credentials when a Power User is logged in.
Can this be done in Windows 7 Pro?
Are there certains steps I should follow?
Maybe in gpedit.msc there is something I should check off?
1.Go to start, type regedit.exe in searchbox and press enter.
2.Navigate to the following entry in Registry Editor.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Policies System
3.Now look for EnableLUA in right side pane. If the key is not there then create new DWORD with same name. Double click on the key and change its value to ’0'.
4.Press OK, restart your computer and done.

You don't have to disable UAC you just need to allow the program to run in an elevated way.
