New-MailBoxImportRequest Stuck Queued
We are iporting a number of mailbox's via PST and have found that after importing 150+ mailbox's we have found that the mailbox imports are just staying in queued status. we have tried Resume-mailboxImportrequest ย and and deleted one that worked before and re-added but this one is also getting stuck as queued. We are running exchnage 2010 sp1.

Anyone know how to troubleshoot the queue requests as i have looked at get-mailboxImportRequestStatistics -Identity -includereport | format-list but this just shows that its queued and no attempt has been made to process. so no errors. also cant see anything in eventview. I have also tried clearing down all the import request with get-mailboximportrequest | remove-mailboximportrequest.

import them 149 at a time ? it's probably a corrupt mail store on one account or more accounts.

You need to run the Remove-MailboxImportRequest before you restart the import process all over again.

I'm not importing all 150 at on time I built up the import and only queued 20 at a time. I noticed as I added a new back from 140 - 160 around 10 got stuck in queued. I have deleted all the mailbox import requests as stated in the opening comments, I used this command to empty the queue get-mailboximportrequest | remove-mailboximportrequest. The only possible solution I've found online is rebooting the servers. This is obviously not a viable solution for a production environment.

Where did the PST's come from? ย I know that there were quite a few issues with ANSI type data that would cause the import process to get stuck, fail or even cause the CAS service to restart. Most of these issue were resolved by SP1 RU1, RU2 and RU3. So I would look to possibly installing the RU patches, however if you are running BES then I would hold off on RU3 since it causes some issues unless you install the BES patches as well
