The presence indicator in sharepoint site does not glow or change its status

I have Sharepoint 2010, OCS 2007 R2, SQL 2008, Domain 2008, exchange 2010 on different systems in a Vmware

I have created sites in sharepoint 2010.

The presence indicator works fine and its glow / show status in office communicator 2007 and outlook 2007.

The same doesnot happen when logged in to my site in sharepoint

Looks like you don't have the User Profile Sync setup between SharePoint and Active Directory.  In order for the presence controls to see work in SharePoint, SharePoint has to have the SIP Address from Active Directory in the user profile.  This is how it identifies the user to display their presence.

User Profile Sync is configured in Central Administration.

Presence in SharePoint is actually provided by Outlook.  You would need Outlook 2010 or 2007 installed (and sometimes it needs to be running) on the machine you are viewing the SharePoint site with.

Hi Chap,

Earlier I was not getting the Indicator itself, but after repair of my office I have got the indicator, but when I sign in Outlook, OC-2007 the indicator goes green, but not in SharePoint site.
I could not able to see other people status also in the SharePoint site.
Any settings I have to do in SharePoint settings.

Find herewith the screenshot attached. Presence Indicator does not glow in SharePoint
