KVM switch

Need a KVM switch of 8 ports, 1 local user, 1 remote user, virtual media, dual power. what is the best KVM switch....

I have always been happy with just the standard Belkin line of KVM switches. Make sure to look to see if they have usb support. Many do not and thus you ahve to find an old PS/2 mouse and keyboard.

Those are all of their rack mountable 8 port switches. I think you get the best bang for the price with these.

Raritan Dominion KX II 8 Server Ports do we have something which is compromising this model?? or more than this with less price... raritan model comes up for 2500$

You are talking about a bit more powerful switch. What are you wanting to accomplish with the KVM?

Avocent MergePoint units, HP and Dell resell these under their own name too, unfortunatly while the dongles are essentialy all the same they will only work with the same braded unit

also if you have servers, have you looked at any iLO/DRAC options they offer?

Pricing on the Aten is $556 + about $20 per station cable (pick USB or PS/2) at CDW. You might need to buy the cable that connects the KVM switch to your local KMM (I love theie dual rail KMM), but the total solution for KVM around $750 with Aten, which is a whole lot better than $2500 for Raritan.
