Move software to new computer
Hi,
I just purchased a new laptop to replace a 4 year old unit. How can I move Office, Act & Nitro to the new computer over the next 30 days? I would prefer not to have to deactivate any of the programs on the old computer before installing on the new computer for a couple of weeks to allow me to have a smooth data transfer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Rick

Hello,
Which Windows versions are on the old and the new PCs? There maybe suitable tools that come with Windows to help with migrating the data.

You might be in breach of licensing rules if you move programs to your new computer. Especially Microsoft Office. Check your license.
If you move Office on to a new computer, it may not activate.

i believe my cloning suggestion is valid too
Aside from that approach, most of the time, you will be directed to backup your data/profile (there are free migration tools to capture your settings and customizations) and restore after you install the applications on the new system.
If your software requires you to uninstall from the old before you can install on the new, you could create a backup image of the old machine, go through the motions of uninstalling from the old and installing on the new, and then restore the backup image to the old machine, putting it back into the state it was in before you uninstalled anything.
