PHP Query failed: ERROR: invalid byte sequence for encoding "UTF8": 0x81

Hi Guys,

I have a script that runs through an IMAP inbox and processes the email contents into a database. On one specific person, the script fails when trying to enter the email contents into the database with the error "Query failed: ERROR: invalid byte sequence for encoding "UTF8": 0x81". I have tried $sBody = utf8_encode($sBody) before doing the database insert, but to no avail. How can I ensure that the contents of $sBody will always be insertable into the database?

if (isset($struct->parts[0]->parts))
$sBody = imap_fetchbody($inbox,$msgid,1.1);
else $sBody = imap_fetchbody($inbox,$msgid,1);$sBody = html_entity_decode($sBody);
$sBody = str_replace('
$sBody = str_replace("'","'",$sBody);
$sBody = str_replace('\r\n','<br>',$sBody);
$sBody = str_replace('\n','<br>',$sBody);
$sBody = str_replace('\r','<br>',$sBody);
Database::query("insert into helpdesk_responses (process_id,type,contact,date_time,text) values ($aProcess[id],1,'System','$dToday','$sBody')");
