VPN connection. Cannot access network pc's by name
Hi
I have setup a vpn connection for a client to connect to his workplace.
Cleint using windows 7, windows vpn.
VPN server is server 2008
He can connect to his workplace but can only see other computers using the ip address. That goes for the server too He cannot ping computername but can ping 192.168.100.xxx
Any ideas?

create a A record of your machine in DNS
i fully agree with @ ruchirch
but if DHCP is used for VPN, every time manually you have to make entry (if you have large network), practicle way is to add static lease in DHCP and create A record in DNS .

make sure your DNS have proper Fwd and Reverse lookup zones.
