We have no limits set on any email, inbound or outbound. &nbsp;We can send and receive any size attachments in and out of our environment.<br />

Once the email is received if it has attachments larger than 10MB and someone tries to forward it internally it gets stuck in the &quot;Messages awaiting directory lookup&quot; queue.<br />

I've been searching all of the information available and can not resolve the problem. &nbsp;There is no issue receiveing large emails from the outside just when we try to send them internally.<br />

We have no limits set on any email, inbound or outbound.  We can send and receive any size attachments in and out of our environment.

Once the email is received if it has attachments larger than 10MB and someone tries to forward it internally it gets stuck in the "Messages awaiting directory lookup" queue.

I've been searching all of the information available and can not resolve the problem.  There is no issue receiveing large emails from the outside just when we try to send them internally.

Exchange 2003 - Internal Emails now limitied to 10MB

Interactions between email servers and clients are governed by email protocols. The three most common email protocols are POP, IMAP and MAPI.
