Notebook new ssd - image wont boot

I made a disk image to a new intel 320 ssd with acronis image software. Now when trying to boot a laptop just a small blinking minus  appears in the left upper corner of the screen. Because of a very limited bios options I cannot see if the bios recognized the drive well, hovewer hdd self test can be run succesfully

Is anything else to do before installing a new ssd in a notebook?
Mine is a hp nx7300

Download Gparted Live CDROM (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php).

Boot from the cdrom, and check the partition is active, and the data partition looks good, NTFS
