Outlook rules stopped working and got unchecked for unknown reasons
We have a XP PC running Outlook 2003, the user's mailbox is over 7GB. "Exchange Cache mode" is NOT enabled. The server is Exchange 2003.
There are 3 rules. Sometimes all of them stopped working, sometimes one or two of them stopped working. I noticed that the rule(s) could be uncheck for no reason when stopped working. I put the check mark(s) back, usually this fixed the problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jack

Is the user account profile roaming? I know this can cause issues with the rules only being active on certain computers and disables due to incompatibilites between outlook clients.
ASKER
no, not a roaming profile at all.
The size of the mailbox could be an issue. Is there no possibility of creating an offline data file and moving some of the data in there??
Another fix may be backing up the users profile on that machine. deleting it and recreating it.

Sulimanw, there is no conflict
Krishnamanoj83, recreating rules did not stop the problem from coming back in the past. But i did not try the mentioned switches before recreating rules. I will try them next time when the problem happens
Johnb6767, good to see you in here. I have not tried that yet, will do next time.
Thank you all for the comments.
