WSS 3.0 Login windows pop up when openning file

I have WSS3.0 on Windows 2003 std. It works alone and fine in the intranet.
I opened the service to internet via https connection.

When user opens a file in https connection, login windows appears serveral times and it makes user down.

Any solution for this issue?

Simply add the Url of the sharepoint site ( including your https://site/....._ ) to your Trusted sites on you IE.

make sure you save the password the first time.

Best of luck

@George - this might not help, as the "Trusted sites" does not have the login/password storing enabled by default - it depends on the user's settings. If this is an intranet site published to the web it makes more sense to add it to the "Intranet zone", not to "Tursted".
