what is Moderated Distribution group in exchange 2010 and whats the use of it?

If a message is sent to the moderated distribution group, it is only forwarded to the group if the moderator approves it.
Adding to above, it used to approve emails sent to a group by the group moderator.
example, let say you have a group names "all" with contains everyone in your org, and some one send a spam to this group ( like a birthday reminder of his college). if you enable group moderation, no one will receive this email until the moderator approve it. a copy of email be sent to the moderator to determine if it is approved or not.
