Both scanners appear OK in Win device manager

With my Epson scanner the scanner utility must be closed. Otherwise Acrobat won't find the scanner.

Your suggestion is a good one. The same suggestion is on the Adobe forums. Problem solved. On my last PC, I used the CD that shipped with the scanner. This time, I downloaded from the Panasonic web site. I downloaded and installed only the device driver, not the TWAIN driver. Once I did this the problme was solved. Thanks anyway!!!
