JQuery function call: what is the correct syntax?

I keep having this error pop up and was wondering if anybody can see the problem... screencap attached...

all libraries are refrenced and the DatePicker function exists...

Maybe somehow it has something to do with the way I call the function? something with the $ sign or so...

you MUST put the jQuery plugin before the datepicker plugin :
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.2/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/_jquery/js/datepicker.js"></script>

DatePicker lowercase : $( "#startdate" ).datepicker();

@leakim971:

thanks for the suggestion, I'm using a modified library from Stefan Petre www.eyecon.ro and I checked the .js file and the function is DatePicker...

If anyone has a better suggestion of a datepicker to implement, please post a link and I'll try it out...

I will accept this as a solution, since it works if I just copy and paste it on my local machine in a simple html file... it doesn't work in Visual Studio, so that will be another posting...
