Need assistance with User Account Control Settings Windows 7

I am running Win 7 64 OS with Dragon Naturally Speaking medical 10.5 (current version). When I ran it on Win XP there was no issue, but now I get a message "Cannot run in elevated mode". After some reserach I determined that the problem relates to the User Account Control Setting which must be turned off for Dragon to work. Is there a way to create a policy so that I can leave the UAC on for security reasons, but specify that it is "off" for Dragon?

Nothing is perfect
When the machine boots up it automatically runs Natspeak so I do not have the option to turn UAC on and off at will.

Maybe best to have one program run absent of UAC than have all programs do so.

What are the pros and cons of running the program in XP mode?

I did try to run as administrator. When the UAC was enabled the problem persisted.

TO use in XP mode, do I have to uninstall and then reinstall in compatability mode?
