Merging Word 2007 templates
I have posted this question on another forum and have yet to receive an answer and I am getting kind of anxious about it.
I created a custom template which contains 3 custom quick part galleries. In this particular template, I have saved the Quick Access Toolbar buttons that show what's in each gallery. I was going to use it as a Word add-in for the users' pc's but not every user will need it and I don't want to bother with creating a unique log in script to add it as a Word startup template for only abot 20 users, so I decided that I want to add this new template to several pre-existing templates that I have instead, but I don't know how to do that. Can I get some help with code to put in the pre-existing templates that will merge a copy of the new template with the pre-existing ones? That way, only the users who need the custom galleries and QAT buttons will get them in the templates that they are associated with anyway. Right now as an alternative, I am keeping the quick part/QAT template as a master template and I am copying the pre-existing templates on top of it, but that is kind of tedious because I have quite a few to do. I am just looking for a quicker, cleaner solution. Thanks for any help and suggestions.
