Extra spacing on Outlook 2010 from Outlook 2003

Why if an email is send to a Outlook 2003 client the format looks correct above the signature lines, whereas the same email received on an Outlook 2010 client adds in (doubles) extra space.  I have noticed Word 2010 (as standard) adds in extra spacing.  I just can’t find the configuration change required to correct this.   Thanks, Malcolm

Unfortunately this relates to MS Word.  It is MS Outlook 2010 I have the issue with.  To explain further, received emails on a MS Outlook 2010 client adds spaces between the last type word of the sender and the senders signature.  This does NOT happen on a MS Outlook 2003 client with the same email!
Thanks for the link.  Malcolm.
The link appears to be for generating an email, whereas the issue relates to received emails. Malcolm
Sorry, try this one it sounds like it should fix the issue.
Sorry, I'm not with it yet this morning. That one is also for outgoing. I'll keep diggin.

I will check the source client, if Outlook 2003 or 2010.
Looks like the signature needs editing on 2007 and 2010 clients, refer http://outlook-center.com/Double-spacing-in-outgoing-messages-in-MS-Outlook-2007/37/  from peetjh
I look at Excellent as perfect, it took a couple of links to provide the answer.
