Locate device on network by Mac address

What's the best way to trace exactly which switch and port a device is connected to using only the Mac address on a large network?

I've done a show mac-address on the core switch and found the Mac address but I think it's connected to another switch, not sure how to figure out which switch this is?

All switches are HP.

Not sure on HP but this doc I have followed for Cisco and the IOS's are similar to a point now. It may point you in the correct way by using ARP and then MAC - IP etc.

You would then go to the next switch and do a show mac-address there. If the address is out a port that goes to another switch, then go to that switch and repeat.
