Can some one please explain the naming conventions used by cisco for their IOSes.
For example: what does c3745-js-mz.122-15.T2.bin mean?
I need to upgrade the router, and don't know which IOS is best suited for it. How do I decide?
Thanks

If you're not sure which one to use but you need to upgrade for security reasons, issue the "show version" command on the router to see what your router is currently running. Then download the latest version of the IOS you're currently running.
The version that you choose depends on the features that you want to use. If you have a support contact with Cisco for the router in question, the best way to handle this issue is to open a request with TAC and provide them with the output of the "show tech" command.
