Sent email through exchange getting bounced back

Have a client with an 2008 sbs server using exchange. Yesterday out of the blue all outbound email started getting kicked back with the following error:

spokzman@yahoo.com
server519.appriver.com #571 spokzman@yahoo.com prohibited. We do not relay ##

Sending to local users is ok. There have been no DNS changes, no server changes, nothing has changed. I'm not really sure where to start look for the solution, kinda a brain freeze and really need some help on this. Thanks.

Try restarting SMTP services, I had this intermittently for a while.  After a variety of SMTP errors i decided to reinstall SMTP to my exchange 2003 server.  All better now

I bounced the server a couple of hours ago and still have the problem.

Yep ... that didn't work for me either, the most I could gain was a temporarly reduction but the problem remained.   For me, reinstalling SMTP sorted it.

The thing is we are not relaying through server519.appriver.com and that's why I'm so confused.

All outbound email looks to be redirected to the appriver server do matter who the recipient is. It's like something is redirecting outbound email.......

ok, I found where a smart host was configured. I removed the smart host from the hub transport>send connector that existed and selected the Use domain name system DNS "MX" records to route mail automatically. The client is still not able to send outbound email. I've not configured an exchange 2007 server before, what else do I need to do to get internet mail delivery up and running?

I was able to resolve this through my own research.
