php/MySQL site has problems loading pages

I have a site "burlington___soccer___league.ca (leave out the underscores) and when I click from page to page the browser sometimes just hangs and does not load the page. Why does this happen and can it be fixed?

PS - I think it's obvious, but I'll state it anyway: your second part of your question relating to how to resolve it is moot if we don't first determine what is causing the actual perceived slow responses.

See how much information you can get about your server load, network congestion etc at the time of you experiencing slow responses, then we can start looking at specific solutions.

Thanks for your time psimation. I will see what I can gather about the server load, network congestion, etc... from my hosting company.

One note: when it does hang...it's not slow...it will just spin forever. As soon as you click again it will engage the site properly.

There can be many things as mentioned earlier. On client side, that can be javascript files or images which may taking time. Test your slow pages with http://www.webpagetest.org/.
