Outlook 2010 contacts duplicating

I have 3 users on my network who are using Outlook 2010 Exchange in a hosted environment.  Each user has a smart phone that is email capable.  The phones are an Apple I Phone, HTC Evo 4G and a Blackberry 8330.  The users are experiencing duplicate contacts on there phones and the duplicate contacts are showing up on the phones and in their Outlook Exchange 2010 contacts.  These duplicate contacts are shared among the three phones.  We verified this by seeing personal contacts vice business contacts on each phone.  If a user deletes the duplicate contacts on their phone or in Outlook it will delete the contacts out of the other persons phone and Outlook.  I know this sounds really bizarre but it really is happening like this.  Any ideas?  I think it may have something to do with the reconcile feature on the phones.  Please advise.  Thanks!

Okay...however I currently only run Outlook 2010 the rest of my office package is Office 2003.  Can I still apply the 2010 service pack 1?  Please advise.  Thanks!
