How can I connect my Macbook pro on openfiler (VM) on a windows Network

Hi, I have a openfiler 2.3 running on a Vsphere. There is a local network with AD and several pc connected. Each PC can access the different volumes as guest. Access control does not really works, I could not manage, but it's acceptable for the time being.
Now I am adding Mac to the network and there is no way for these Mac to access the filer even as guest. I have tried to use local Ldap authentication or windows authentication, or both but nothing happens no access, in some cases I can even not access to the server. In some cases I get the authentication windows and get rejected.
Is it a bug or what am' I doing wrong.

Thanks

I am little surprised, I found out about for AFP, but  both openfiler and Mac OS are Linux base and both support Samba and ftp.
I only thought about authentication problem. In some cases when I removed Windows authentication Mac can access openfiler as guest. But my PC then cannot anymore.
Openfiler's authentifcation has issues as you have discovered.
Well, I have removed both Ldap and windows authentication and now both Mac and PC machines can connect to the openfiler.

I am not completeley satisfied as there is now no more access control and any machine from the network can access any volume.

I still do believe that there is a solution, will keep digging.
