Who was Abdollah Sarh?

I can not find any straight sources on this man. Who was he really in the Quran, and what was his story.
(Please do not give me the stuff from biblebeliever site.)

Yes, I do believe that is the same.
Brief research indicates there was an Abdollah Sarh from Mecca around the time of Mohammad but that is a different story.
Does anyone want to expand? I do not want to rely on just the one Wiki link.
He was one of Muhammad's followers and scribes who one day stopped believing that Muhammad was inspired in any special way or was in any way special. Muhammad got upset about that and ordered him to be killed. However, Abdullah was protected by Uthman, and in the end Abdullah became a believer again but he probably did it only to save is life, not out of conviction.
^^ That's the story that's relevant here, methinks.

>Abdullah was protected by Uthman, and in the end Abdullah became a believer again but he probably did it only to save is life, not out of conviction.

I was looking at this angle and the scene during which he was pardoned were Muhammad only pardoned him because no one in the place could read Muhammad's mind and kill Abdullah.

Is this a case where god's will and Muhammad's will diverged?

>You also have to remember that all these are stories and may not be quite true.

That is why I was hoping to get some people 'in the know' to get involved in this thread.
