I have suddenly lost all emails before the 24th of July 2011 till October 2010 from the inbox.dbx file. <br />
<br />
I have checked the folder with DBX files and i cannot locate another inbox file, or bak file. Nothing in deleted items. I think the Outlook Express view is ok and set to display all emails whether they &nbsp;are read or not. Size of DBX file is just over 1 GB. Computer runs AVG antivirus. <br />

At the time it happened, &nbsp;I was replying to an email - then suddenly they went. <br />

Any ideas on how to recover these emails?<br />

Missing Emails in Outlook Express

Windows Live Mail is the successor to Outlook Express, a discontinued email and news client bundled with several versions of Microsoft Windows, from Windows 98 to Windows Server 2003, and available for Windows 95 and Mac OS 9. In Windows Vista, Outlook Express was superseded by Windows Mail, then again by Windows Live Mail as separate software. Outlook Express is a different application from Microsoft Outlook.
