Access 2003 mdb loses odbc password for sql server linked tables every time it is opened

I have linked a number of sql server tables to my access mdb and provided the sql server password for the odbc dsn for each.

Every time that I open the mdb, it asks me for the sql password again. How do I get the pasword to stick.

I created another dsn but I don't see how that would help since it has the same parameters as the original dsn.
In the menu titled Link Tables where you select the tables you want to link, ensure that you click the checkbox titled Save Password
This is after you build the dsn and you are in your database linking tables

This solution solved 2 problems for me. 1 - the request for password and another error that was occurring in the app.
