I have been asked to setup a single PC that will act as the only workstation/server for a single lawyer law firm.  However, this lawyer wants his staff of 3 assitants to be able to access it remotely.  What is the best way to do this?  Would it be easier to do logmein pro, or should I create VPN?

do they expect to have multiple users accessing the pc at the same time?  what do they expect to use to access this pc, another pc?  are they expecting to access it over the internet?

They are not expecting to have more than one accessing it at the same time.  This person is more concerned with having his documents shared with remote users, as well as having access to his outlook calendar.  The PC will remain in the office, while his staff will be working from home.
Logmein Pro would work very nice if they don't expect to log in all at the same time. What purpose do they need to access the Server or Workstation? MS Access? Excel?

They need access to Office, as well as the outlook calendar and all the legal documents that will reside on it.
Well, your answer came in while I was typing up my response. For that kind of simple access I would use Logmein. I use it for personal use as does a few of my friends and it works flawlessly.
