Acronis backup duplicates machine ID

Have multiple (identical Hardware) units. When re-imaging otheer units from orginal, I have the same ID for all machines? This presents a problem in the network. How can I correct it? (Windows 7 Ultimate)

When you need to re-image more than one machine from an image the best way is to use sysprep this gives you the possibillity to generate a new sid.

Best option is when you create such an image is when you are completely finished with the installation and configuration you run sysprep and before you restart (you need to restart after you run sysprep this will finish the process at the reboot) you create the image so when you restore an image to another machine it will startup with sysprep process and every machine will be delivered clean. Of course you can also run sysprep after you have restored the image but this will be an additional step.

I am using acronis true image for the same task and its working perfectly fine.
Just make sure you are not using sector by sector approach
Just go as default setting :)
