Our self signed certifcate expired this morning.  I renewed it following the steps outlined here, http://msexchangegeek.com/2009/04/24/how-to-renew-a-self-signed-certificate-in-exchange-server-2007/.

However, users are still receiving the message that says the security certificate is expired or not yet valid.  I have attached the error along with a screenshot of the output when I run the "Get-ExchangeCertificate | FL" command from the Exchange Shell. Error Message List of Certs

The certificate that you created is not being used by IIS.  You will need to correct this to get this working.  I will look for a walk through.
Actually, looks like it is step 4 of the guide you provided.  Verify that you have run that command.

Following are the observation on above issue,

1] Certificate Domain is not available on any certificate.

2] After creating new exchange certificate we must restart the Exchange Transport service to take effect.

3] After that check the Thumbprint available in IIS for exchange site.

Or Create a new certificate with the help of below mentioned link & let me know if you face any further issue.

Hope this will help you to resolve your issue.

Have a nice day.

I had to run the command

Enable-ExchangeCertificate – Thumbprint “<thumbprint>” –Services IIS

as suggested by SterlingMcClung.

I also believe that I had to "2] After creating new exchange certificate we must restart the Exchange Transport service to take effect." as suggested by y4utech.  We had a power failure before I was able to do this which restarted the entire server.  No cert errors after the server came back up, though.
