Hey does the cfparam tags work in cf mx 7.0 standard early version without updates?  I thought I remember reading that they didn't and you had to upgrade to professional.  If I'm wrong that's fine just let me know

I believe cfparam started back in CF 5

are you having trouble with it?   You have to be sure that the variable doesn't exist (even empty)... if it does exist, cfparam does nothing

No, <cfparam> tags have been in every version I can think of.  They go waaay back.  The tag attributes may have changed. Is that what you're thinking of ? Or maybe a different tag?

Nope. Even older than that.  The CFWACK 4.0 book contains cfparam ;-)

Before me too. A friend gave it to me when they were cleaning out their closest!
