Hi

Is it possible to run different versions of SQL on a computer at the same time.
I installed Visual Studio 2010 so have the SQL Server 2008, which I have had problems with.
I have now downloaded SQL Server Express 2008 and plan on downloading MySQL too. Will I be able to use these or is it more prudent to uninstall the original SQL that ca,e with VS2010?

no you dont have to deinstall. for MS SQL you can use different instance names. which will allow you to run both instances together on the same computer. MySQL is totally different from MSSQL and does not have any infulence on it.

If you have SQL Server 2008 installed part of the VS 2010, then it is an express edition. So you dont have to install it again, just download Management Components (SSMS) and install it.

MySQL has not problem running side by side with SQL Server.
