Where can I download Rosetta for Mac?  It's going to be installed on a 10.7 machine to try to help with printer issues.  Any ideas?  I've been searching for a while for a location and it's hard to find.  Thanks!

As far as I know Apple discontinued Rosetta on Mac OS X 10.7 (I need it too for an old scanner). If you want to use Rosetta, you will need a machine with Mac OS X 10.6 (the most recent OS version supporting it) installed. unless a third party is making a new Rosetta version...
You can install it from the System install disk for Snow Leopard. Lion will simply throw this feature out.

Ask the vendor/developer if there will be a Lion update for the software/drivers you need.

Thanks I'm looking for a 10.6 disk now to see if I can install that package off of it.  I wondered about copying it from another Mac that had Rosetta already on it too.  And yes I did contact them, it's an Oki printer, they're not sure when they'll have a Lion driver but they hope to soon.
I doubt very much if Rosetta will work with Lion.

I just tried sigurarm's suggestion - I liked it and have a SL installer CD at hand. Installing Rosetta is no problem. But after installing the old scanner program still doesn't work, not working after a system reboot either.

So it looks like Rosetta need more than just being re-installed. Anyone here who has this set up working?

It might work to a small extent.  I know Mac really wants to get away from PowerPC applications and well anything dealing with PowerPC.  I think Lion is just too new still to have the right drivers and everything right now.  However I did have a software update last night for HP drivers, so in time it might be coming!

I found a 10.6.5 disk with Rosetta on it, installed it, and still didn't fix the problem.  Looks like I'm stuck waiting on Oki now.
Just to confirm what you've already discovered Rosetta cannot and will not work on OSX Lion.  Apple have COMPLETELY removed the code in the OS that works with Rosetta to allow PPC code to run on Intel PCs with OSX.  Installing Rosetta on Lion will have no effect and may damage your OSX Lion installation.

PPC apps will NOT run on OSX Lion, you will have to stick with OSX 10.6 if you require PPC applications.
The only other options are to split your hard drive and dual-boot your Mac into 10.6 Snow Leopard if you need PPC applications.
