Hello,

I need some help with analyzing attached data. The spreadsheet includes time and day of occurrences.

I need to figure out which days and time occurrences are most likely to happen. Days and time can be separate data sets.

Thank you

I would use a PivotTable / PivotChart for this.

I did the following:
Created a Table to hold your sample source data
Added dimensions to that table for weekday, year, month, day, and hour, which should you plenty of options for analysis
Created a PivotTable and PivotChart based on that source Table
Added VBA code from my article http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Office_Productivity/Office_Suites/MS_Office/Excel/A_3172-How-to-Automatically-Update-Your-PivotTables-and-PivotCharts.html that automatically forces a refresh of your PivotTable / PivotChart as you add new data

Please see the attached sample file.

Thank you.

How can I determine best time of day when 'actions' occur?

Thank you.

faithless1,

Depends on what you mean by "best".

The approach I outlined can help you identify when they occur.  WHether or not they occur at the best times, well, I have no way of knowing.
