Strange thing happening on a windows 7 PC.  Basically, I remote desktop a server.  It connects seemingly.  The icon displays below on the task bar, but I can't get the window to display.  It won't maximize off the task bar.  It is showing as running in the task manager.  I've tested rdp availability to server from another machine and it works fine.  Any ideas?

Try to disable bitmap caching in you RDP session and see what happens.

Ok, just tried that and I'm getting the same result.
Try hitting ctrl + alt + pause and see if you see it

Does your computer thinks it has two screens? Weird indeed, what if you RDP in a low resolution 800x600 and once the rdp window opens click right click the taskbar and select Cascade Windows.

Good thought.  I'm remote controlling PC and it does indeed have dual screens.  I'd hope the person I'm supporting would see the 2nd screen.  But, it's feasible he didn't.  I'll check. I've RDP'd from his desktop several times.

I changed screen settings to one screen temporarily and screen came right up.  Simplest explanation is the right one.  Thanks!
