Hi,
I've been trying to get OutlookXpress contacts transferred from an old XP pc to a new Windows 7 pc with Live Mail.  I see the contacts in the OutlookXpress 6  exported .csv file.  But, Live mail will not import the .csv contacts from OutlookXpres 6 to Live Mail.  I copied/pasted the .csv file to the new pc. Please advise.

Thanks,
Joe

jstaron7--I understand you already have copied the OE Address Book as a .csv file.  Copy/Transfer it anywhere convenient on the new Win7 PC--like Desktop.  Now the rest depends on the version of Windows Live Mail.  If you have WLM 2011 you will be using the Ribbon at the top of the screen.  In Open Contacts (left column) and in the Tools section click Import.  Choose "Import" | "Comma Separated Values (CSV)" from the drop down. Browse if needed to the location of the transferred .cvs file.   Follow directions.
If you are not using the Ribbon, post back.

jstaron7--There are a couple of typos in my post above.
For clarity here is a corrected version.

I understand you already have copied the OE Address Book as a .csv file.  Copy/Transfer it anywhere convenient on the new Win7 PC--like Desktop.  Now the rest depends on the version of Windows Live Mail.  If you have WLM 2011 you will be using the Ribbon at the top of the screen.  Click Contacts (left column bottom) and in the Tools section of the ribbon click Import.  Choose "Comma Separated Values (CSV)" from the drop down. Browse if needed to the location of the transferred .cvs file.   Follow directions.
If you are not using the Ribbon, post back

jstaron7--Have you had a chance to try the suggeste procedure?  It is the "official" MS procedure so should work.  Note you have to do more than just copy the OE address book to the new PC.
