SQL Express on Win 7, multi-user permission denial

I installed SQL Express 2005 on a Windows 7 computer.  A Visual Basic application connects to SQL using Windows Authorization. No problem.

However, when others with accounts on this same computer attempt to run the VB application the result is "SELECT permission was denied.."

Necessary security is provided by the VB app.  Can I change the connection string so that any user has access to the DB? I have the same issue with a SQL Server 2008 application.

Your application runs as the logged in user. Have you given each user the appropriate permissions in the database?

Sounds like you have it set up for Windows Authentication.  Create a user for SQL Authentication with username and password and you will be able to use it from any computer or user.  That's how I have it set up here.  Here's some info: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143705%28v=sql.90%29.aspx

And look here for remote TCP/IP connections: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlexpress/archive/2005/05/05/415084.aspx
