How to compile and build the perl code using emacs IDE

Hello, I am new to IDE and would like to move to emacs for some perl development, Kindly share some tips so that my journey to use emacs would be beautiful :)

How can I compile a perl code while being in emacs? What specific configuration is required? kindly share some good .emacsrc file. Thanks!

Perl is interpreted language, it is not compiled.

Do you want to run and/or debug it from Emacs?
I would recommend cperl-mode for your coding process. Ver 6.2 http://math.berkeley.edu/~ilya/software/emacs/cperl-mode.el.6.2.bz2 is the best available one (the ones shipped with Emacs are usually older) .
You can debug and run perl scripts using this mode, or upgrade it using Emacs::PDE :
