Dear All,
How do I install Office Professional Plus 2010 on a Windows 7 Home machine without getting a 'Product requires Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2' error message.
Don't remember getting similar messages with previous versions of Office Pro.
Thanks in anticipation

One article says you can install sharepoint foundation first.

Try Compatibility mode on the installer application by right clicking on it and going to Compatibility tab in Properties window and selecting other OS or Service packs and see if it answers or not . . .

I don't think that is Office Pro Plus 2010 that he is trying to install.. or at least a legit version

Yes, it is a legit version. Full licensed copy with product key. Bought through a Microsoft distributor.

Tocogroup--So you have a retail DVD?  Ask the MS distributor for advice and perhaps request another DVD.

@DED9 If he is trying to install Microsoft Office 2010 Professional why does he need to install Sharepoint Foundation (a web site to install a client product)??
@DED9 that article says uncheck compatability mode!

right click on setup.exe and uncheck any compatability mode settings!

install the x86 version you can go to the x86 folder and run setup from there

Tocogroup--Do you have an earlier version of Office installed on that PC?  If so uninstall and then try try to install Office 2010.
What version of Office are you trying to install?. Install the 32 bit version regardless of the bit version of Windows.
