In the attached picture there is a bear on a cliff. It is shot by a hunter (of course after he is able to aim correctly, will modify the sketch later).

When the bullet hits the bone, a bang cloud shows up. Next the bear is in the air... and tumbles down.

height= 125 meters,
g=10 m/s
time = 5

height=(1/2)gt^2

Question: Can you help to make me to get started on this project either in JApplet or desktop application.

I am new to java and this is not a school project (there is no school open at this time any way).

Regards,

Mike

Well what's your goal? At the moment I think the easiest way to create such thing is an animated gif.
An easy way to create an animated gif is Picasion where you can upload some images and Picasion will output an animated gif.
If your goal is to create a game where you can control the man to walk and that kind of things then you'll need a programming language. You can use Java for it if you want. Here is an example how you can create animations with Java.

Adobe Flash is also a relatively easy way to create such anmiations.

Darude1234,

Thank you for feedback. The idea of GIF is useful. I never have done it but I am open to it. I suppose  Picasion is some sort of website where I can handle this (i will check it out next).

Even after doing it via GIF is done I still would want to do it on java to sharpen my skills. But for now I will follow the GIF possibilities first. I will follow your java sample link also.

No, this will not be a game.It is just demo a point in physics.

thanks,

Mike

There are also a lot of java animation tutorials on youtube. See this for example, which also guided me to this website.
Unfortunately Java is not a program to just create animations. It's a complicated programming language which you need to learn from the beginning to understand the concepts and to be able to build something.

re:> Unfortunately Java is not a program to just create animations

I love java and learning it for programing purpose also love to do animations with it.

At Picasion, I made the animation but how can I get hold of the actual file. I guess it is available via link meaning there should be a internet connection available to watch it.

Any comment on this?

thx,

Mike

I guess it doesn't need internet connect but is has to be opened by web browser.

No it doesn't need an internet connection, you can open the gif in any webbrower. Just drag the file to your webbrowser and it will open the local file in a format like this:

in Windows: file://C:\Users\Username\Directory\BearAnim.gif
in Linux: file:///home/username/directory/BearAnim.gif
