looking up a chart from a data validation dropdown

The dropdown recognizes the named cells, which are in the column left of a series of charts.  I used Name Manager to create an "indirect" formula, which correctly identifies the cells.  I need the charts to change as the dropdown is changed.  When I paste a picture and try to use the "indirect" formula, I get an error (or am not allowed to type in the formula bar at all).

Hello,

see attached file. I used a helper range name "display". This range name has the Indirect() formula. The dynamic image is populated by =display

You can't use Indirect in a dynamic image.
