Are there any PCI Express x1 or PCI Express X16/x8 slot cards available that will allow IDE hard drives to be connected?

I have an EVGA X58 SLI3 Motherboard that doesn’t allow any IDE drives to be plugged into it.

The EVGA X58 SLI3 Motherboard has two available PCI Express x1 Slots and two PCI Express x16/x8 Slots.

Please post the URL addresses of where I can purchase the right type of expansion card that will allow me to connect IDE devices to my EVGA X58 SLI3 Motherboard.

I would like to purchase an expansion card that have two IDE connectors so that I can connect a maximum of four IDE drives to my EVGA X58 SLI3 Motherboard.

To further clarify:

This motherboard has two PCI Express x1 slots and three PCI Express x8/x16 slots.

I am looking for a controller card that will fit into either one of these PCI Express x1 slots or one of these PCI Express x8/x16 slots.

The PCI slot on this system board is already being used by another controller card.

I have looked for these sorts of cards on eBay, but have had a very hard time finding what I am looking for.

The reason that I need such a card that has these two IDE slots on it is so that I can connect my two IDE DVD Writer drives and two IDE hard drives.

Please respond with the exact URL hyperlinks of where I can purchase such expansion cards from.

How about IDE to SATA converters instead?

See http://www.amazon.com/Bidirectional-IDE-to-SATA-Converter/dp/B000RK89M4

Plug into your hard disk/DVD drive and then run a SATA cable to it.

This card has two ports (4 devices) and will support the DVD drives,

You might find something cheaper if you shop around but there are not so many pci express with more than 1 IDE port it seems.

I would suspect your IDE hard drives are pretty old.  It might be a good time to replace them with a better performing SATA drive.   Pci express cards with just one IDE port are only $15-20 range.

Okay,  wow here's same card on amazon for MUCH better price - $17 vs $49 at newegg,

Same Startech part number at least,  maybe check shipping costs.
