Use FTP software to access local disk

Hi all, I do alot of backing-up to a remote server and a USB hard drive. I'm on Windows Vista 64-bit. When I use Filezilla to backup to the remote server, I get options such as "Overwrite if source newer" etc. However, I don't get these when copying and pasting in Windows Vista to the local hard drive. As I copy large quantites of data, I need an option such as the one above. Any ideas? Many thanks.

Of course, Robocopy! Why didn't I think of that one!? Thinkpad, could Filezilla do that too? Haven't used WS-FTP for yonks. I don't really want to sync them automatically, eksatx. Many thanks for your suggestions guys.
