Outlook 2003 on Domain with Windows XP client and SBS 2003 Server. One user when they click on the sent items folder there is nothing diisplayed. However the items are there because when you right click the sent folder and select advanced search and click find it displays all the sent mail. It is the same for this user no matter what pc I log into and there is no roaming profiles in use. Even if I log on on the server and add the user to my profile when I browse his mailbox there is all the inbox and deleted mail but sent does not display. Mailbox size is about 350m with no limits set.

HI,

Please click on the sent items folder and under the view settings check that if you don't have any filter configured on the outlook to display email of that particular folder. Also, check if you have any rules setup to delete of move the mails after send email to that outlook only.

Also, to investigate further, Just try to perform an advance search on that outlook for few of the emails sent based on either "Subject", "Sent Items", or "Mails Sent to"..

Let me know of you still experience any issues.

Cant find any filter option under view when diplaying the sent folder. No rules set. Advanced find and search for a keyword or subject etc works fine and displays the emails sent.

Have you tried
Outlook /cleanviews

Just date and show in groups. Nothing else is ticked. I can copy individual emails that show in Advanced find to other folders. However if I try to copy the sent items folder to another folder in the mailbox or in another mailbox it comes up with the error
Cannot copy this folder because it may contain private items. I can copy other users sent items to other folders so it looks like some kind of permission problem.

Outlook /cleanviews didnt work.
Had to export the emails and delete the user and recreate a new user of the same name. then imported the mail into the new user.
