Assume I have a folder with 100 folders in it. I am looking for a file named 1234.mp3 which I  know is located in one of the 100 folders. Is there a program or method to use to find which folder it is located in?

If you know the file name, then in windows explorer search for it and right click on it and select Open the File Location.
In command prompt you can use dir /s with file name to find the file that is in inner directories.

Not quite.  Almost but not quite.

At the command line try

dir  c:\1234.mp3  /s

Must put that c:\ before the file name so it starts at the root folder.

Just right click on the main folder and select "Search" option.
Then search the file name and when it appeared in right pane right click on it and Select "Open Containing folder" to show the Location of the file.
You could Also Go to
Folder options > View tab > Check "Display the full path in address bar"
to show the address in address bar.
Then You can copy the address of the file.
