How to Configure NIC Teaming with 3Com Switch

Hi,
We have esxi 4.1 with 2 Nic that configured for failed over.
We alsow have 3 com with 2 port of Giga that connect to esxi machine without any spasific configuration, Do i need to setup any configuration on my 3 com to accomplish the teaming ?

No need to change the setup of your 3com, just team the nic's in vmware.

If you are going to connect both physical NICs to your 3COM switch, you will need to change the vSwitch properties. See attached screen shot. (ignore nic in standby!)

The default load balancing policy is Route based on the originating virtual port ID. If the physical switch is using link aggregation, Route based on IP hash load balancing must be used.
